CARBURES OPENS NEW PLANT / CARBURES INAUGURA SU NUEVA PLANTA

CARBURES no detiene su ritmo y esta semana hemos culminado un nuevo hito con la inauguración de la planta situada en Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz).

Una vez más la prensa nacional cubre muy de cerca los movimientos de CARBURES, como es el caso del diario Expansión, cuyo artículo sobre la noticia compartimos con nuestros lectores.

CARBURES doesn´t slow down its pace and this week we have addressed a new milestone with the opening of the plant located in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz-Spain).

As usual, national media have closely followed CARBURES´ movements, such as Expasión digital newspaper, which published an article involving the relevant event that we share with our readers.

CARBURES, a company dedicated to manufacture carbon fiber structures for aerospace, automotive and civil engineering, has today taken a new step in its expansion with the opening of a new plant in the aeronautical area of Jerez de la Frontera (Spain-Cádiz).

The new plant, which has received an investment of five million euros and is dedicated to providing to the aeronautical sector composites structures, it has been added to those already opened in Greenville and Seattle (USA), Harbin (China) and El Puerto de Santa Maria (Spain),a fact that and makes the production capacity of the company was eight times higher.

To these plants will be added the facilities located in El Burgo de Osma (Soria-Spain) which will be dedicated to the production of automotive structures,  and a new one that likely will be located in the Zona Franca of Cadiz (Spain) if this incipient project goes ahead.

Its new plant in Jerez, with an area of ​​15,000 square meters, of which 7500 meters are productive capacity, is called "CARBURES Airport" and is located in a strategic location within the Andalusian aeronautical cluster formed by Puerto Real, El Puerto Santa Maria and Sevilla.

The forecast is that, once fully operational, it can employ almost a hundred people.

The facilities have different structural and beautification elements made ​​of carbon fiber, including the main staircase.

The project has received the Positive Architecture Award awarded by the Superior Council  of Architects of Spain (CSCAE) that values ​​the application of new materials, environmental protection and innovation in construction.

This award, according to Carlos Guillén, President of CARBURES, it´s an important recognition for the application of innovative materials such as carbon fiber in the construction sector.

The new plant located in Jerez is "an architectural landmark" in this field, but also symbolizes the philosophy of anticipating "challenges" that has led the company to consolidate a process of expanding the company started twelve years ago.

"The fundamental basis of our project is to foster investment diversification and international expansion" along with "much effort", "a commitment" with the implementation of new technologies and the challenge of "being competitive" said Carlos Gillén.

"The carbon fiber allows a huge expansion," says the president of CARBURES, which is quoting since March 2012 in the Alternative Stock Market (MAB) and it has among its customers companies such as  Airbus, Airbus Military, Boeing, Bombardier, Tesla, Xcor, among others.

The company recently announced the acquisition of MDU (Militärtecnologie Dienst und Überwachung, SAU), another company specialized in engineering systems for the aerospace, marine and defense and has clients such as Airbus, Airbus Military and Navantia.

With this agreement CARBURES  is four years ahead schedule regarding its business plan and closes consolidating 2012 with 25 million euros.
